Students at Moncton's Harrison Trimble High School inaugurated a new fundraising craze and public awareness event for the Moncton Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Groups of students competed in Metro Moncton's first "cyclebetes," keeping the wheels of their bicycles spinning for four hours on stationary training stands set up at the school to raise money for the organization.

Prostate Cancer Canada has unveiled a signature blue tie, which will be sold across the country, with proceeds going towards research for the deadly cancer. Moncton has been chosen as a select city to unveil the signature tie, with a special event to be held Feb. 16 at Vie Tapas & Lounge.
